Dr. Michaels grew up in Wyckoff, NJ and attended Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes. She is a general pediatrician who is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys practicing medicine in the same neighborhood where she was raised.

Dr. Michaels received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from New York University and her medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. She stayed at the university to complete her residency training in pediatrics.

She was Chief Pediatric Resident at The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center and The University Hospital in Newark, NJ.

After residency, she and her husband moved back to Wyckoff and she joined a large private group practice in Bergen County. She had her first child, and then began working in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Hackensack University Medical Center before opening Milestones Pediatrics. Dr. Michaels is pleased to offer a general pediatric practice where patient education and continuity of care are emphasized.

Dr. Carmelina Tirri is a board certified pediatrician who received her medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and completed her residency training in pediatrics at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. After residency she joined a private group practice in Hackensack, NJ. She joined Milestones Pediatrics in 2014, where she continues to provide high-quality health care for children and make a positive difference in her patients’ lives.

Dr. Tirri was born in Passaic County, NJ and continues to live there with her husband and three children.

Dr. McCarthy has been caring for infants and children as both a pediatrician and neonatologist for over 25 years. She received her B.A. in biology with honors from NYU before attending UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Dr. McCarthy completed both her pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship training at The New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she served as the Child Protection Representative and became the first clinical director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Manhattan. She then went on to receive a faculty appointment at NYU/Langone Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, serving as a board-certified neonatologist for 7 years in the NICU of both NYU and Bellevue Medical Centers.

Dr. McCarthy then started her own practice, Care Intensive Pediatrics, with a focus on the care of former premature infants or children in need of a higher level of medical or developmental care. After seven years in practice, family life brought Dr. McCarthy, her husband, and three children to NJ, where she has served as a board-certified Pediatric House Physician at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood since 2015, tending to the needs of pediatric patients in the newborn nursery, on labor and delivery, in the pediatric ER, and on the pediatric ward.

She has also worked as an urgent care doctor at PM Pediatrics and as a pediatrician for several private practices and clinics, providing pediatric care to countless families in the Bergen County community.

Dr. McCarthy’s mission is to provide attentive, detail-oriented, compassionately informed care to all of her patients.

Dr. Stacey Hecht has been practicing pediatrics for over thirty years, and she managed her own private practice for twenty years. She also works part-time in a pediatric urgent care facility. In addition, Dr. Hecht is a certified life coach.

She has been board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 1992. Dr. Hecht has lived in Bergen County for most of her life and graduated from Northern Highlands High School. She went to Rutgers Medical School and completed her residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She is the mother of adult twin sons, is an avid ballroom dancer, and loves to travel and cook.
